Quality Engineer 4 Job in Comcast

Core Responsibilities:

• Automate and test solutions to a wide range of difficult applications, problems or procedures.
• Create and maintain project deliverables to ensure test plans, scripts, acceptance criteria, results, defect logs, etc. are thoroughly and consistently documented using standard templates and centralized repository.
• Define and manage processes to facilitate user acceptance testing events, including demos, test execution and defect management.
• Provide input into end user and production support processes based on testing results.
• Monitor bugs and issues reported via production support to continuously improve testing processes.
• Work with other members of cross-functional teams, third party vendors, and company product managers and marketing teams to deliver quality products in a timely fashion that meet defined requirements.
• Be diligent about recording/documenting development, testing and QA activities and tasks in Jira or other tools.
• Deploy new systems and software including appropriate testing to ensure successful deployment. Determine the necessary test coverage and plans for deployment strategy.

Technical Qualifications & Job Requirements:

• Experience creating and maintaining complex automated test code, scripts, data and associated drivers per recognized Agile/SDLC methodology
• Experience performing both manual and automated testing along with documenting the process
• Working knowledge of API testing tools including and not limited to SOAPUI/Ready API, REST-Assured, Postman
• Solid knowledge on SQL and Scripting
• Strong ability to debug code, analyze failures and trace defects to the root cause
• Knowledge on task scheduling tools such as Rally, ALM or JIRA
• Exposure working in an Agile and hybrid Agile development environment with an understanding of Scrum Methodology
• Knowledge of version control tools such as GitHub and experience with CI/CD using Jenkins
• Experience in Core Java and Groovy scripting for Automation development
• Good communicator and able to clearly articulate complex issues and technologies
• Work as individual contributor as well as a team player by providing proper hands-off on a daily basis to the onsite counterparts
• Awareness on US telecom products and services with relevant domain exposure

Nice to Have:

• Hands-on-experience in Automation testing tools like Selenium
• Knowledge on Performance & Load Testing (hands-on experience with any tools such as Load Runner, JMeter, Performance Center is desirable)
• Experience with IDEs like Eclipse or Visual Studio Code
