The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, documentation, analysis & implementation of large L3 IP and SDN/NFV Platforms consists large number of Cisco , Juniper , Arista , HP & Versa.

Also this role may be working closely with design team to test & validate and deploy Colts high capacity MPLS networks with software defined and virtualised network components. c.sa and using Protocols like IPMPLS , BGP , ISIS , OSPF

Key accountabilities

Scope:

  • Capacity Management: Manage capacity upgrades for MPLS Network (with software defined and virtualised network components) to ensure appropriate actions are triggered on time.
  • Statistical Analysis : Manage the production of monthly capacity reports and KPIs giving high level indications on the evolution of the network utilisation (shared with the Management)
  • Network Capacity and Solutions: Plan & document capacity driven upgrades of the SDN/NFV base IP network across multiple countries. Provide support to Sales/Marketing & Customer Solutions teams on large, complex customer bids involving the Pan-European and Asian network.
  • Engineering Guidelines: Liaise with engineering functions to ensure new equipment is implemented in the network correctly and appropriate guidelines are defined in deployment and routing rules.

Network Optimization and Project Management: Investigate opportunities to optimise the network to make best use of existing capacity and/or equipment. Conduct detailed planning for any optimisation initiatives and liaise with Service Delivery, procurement, engineering, finance & Project Management for change in architecture and delivering the benefits of these projects

Key Tasks:

  • Analyses and interprets the capacity management reports to derive trend, detects the need of additional capacity and produce data justification for business case approval.
  • Data representation by lists, summaries, charts and graphs. Using tools like Excel, Business Objects or other graphics packages for an effective presentation of the information.
  • Manage and implement capacity for networks to support new technology and services in network domain. Plan, Implement & document upgrades to the IPMPLS and Ethernet transport network. This includes capacity driven upgrades as well as large customer projects, which could span multiple countries.
  • Monitor CAPEX expenditure and suggest suitable ways to reduce CAPEX and OPEX through innovation, simplicity and delivering the optimization plans.
  • Manage the deployment and routing policies to ensure consistency and simplicity across geography.
  • Migrate Software defined and virtual base networ using protocols like MPLS , BGP , OSPF ,Static Route.

  • Maintaining the Capacity Availability Index (CAI) as per agreed thresholds
  • Maintaining NIGO levels for customer orders for capacity of assigned network
  • Number of Capacity Upgrades of network successfully implemented
  • Planning, Monitoring and Management of assigned budget for specific network assigned
  • Improving efficiency by identifying process improvements, cost savings and innovations
  • Delivery of Network Projects as per agreed quality and Time lines.

    Skills & Experience

  • In-depth knowledge of Software defined and network virtual base IPMPLS Network systems particularly with Cisco, Versa , HP & Arista network components.
  • Good exposure to automation for network environments with programming experience with Python or Perl
  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Must have worked in a Telco company for a minimum of four years and have ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good understanding and knowledge of Routing Protocols like Static, OSPF, BGP, ISIS, and IP MPLS.
  • Commercial acumen for developing business cases.
  • Understands European, Asian & US geography.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Having Project Management skill

  • Qualifications

    • Candidate with BE/Diploma/MCA (Electronics/Telecommunication/Computers) and network design and planning experience on IP networks will be preferred.
    • Fluency in written and spoken English is must since candidate will be expected to communicate with colleagues across Europe & Asia.
