Engineer/senior Engineer, Service Delivery Job in Colt Technology Services Group Limited

Core Tasks

• Configuration & Testing of circuits over Colt s DWDM / OTN / MSP / M-MSP / ATM Networks & NGNMS platforms against customer contracts within target-timelines.
• Co-ordinate with field engineers for Installation & E2E testing of the services, during this tasks he will be required to perform continuity test, loop test, switching test, insertion of network elements, removal of network elements from the management server.
• Adhere to OLA and Quality KPI as per defined target
• Maintain high quality of output and ensure completion of tasks with a target of zero errors.
• Real time closure of Order Handling System tools & XTRAC (workflow tools) tasks.
• Real time updating of Network Management Systems and error free delivery as per Customer requirements
• Co-ordinate with different stakeholder during delivery of orders

Key Stakeholders

Regular interaction with following teams:

• • Country Delivery teams Order Management , Fibre, Install, Node, Scheduling team , OLO Delivery teams
  • NOC, Engineering and Capacity management team, Planning,Order Entry and applications support teams
  • Change management & TAC

Role specific requirements

Skills & Experience

• The ideal candidate with 5-7 years of relevant industry experience in Configuration ,Installations & commissioning / Testing / NOC environment (on DWDM, OTN), and having practical experience of Bandwidth provisioning and testing . Knowledge on Optical and Ethernet platforms is mandate.
• Good knowledge of Transmission, Fiber Optics, OTN / DWDM / Ethernet / Carrier Ethernet etc.
• Good knowledge on various testers (like MTS, SUNRISE, ACTERNA, ANT-5, ANT-20 etc.) used for testing of transmission links.
• Knowledge of LAN principles and practices.
• Knowledge on OTN technologies & hands-on on Ciena 6500 would be desirable.
• Basic Knowledge of SDWAN.
• Excellent customer facing and communication skills.
• Good Time management skills
• Good working knowledge on MS Office (Word, PPT & Excel) and other tools used for day 2 day administrative tasks.

Education & Qualifications

• B.E / B Tech Engineers specialized in "Electronics & Communication" Engineering is preferred
