Engineer - It Infrastructure (compute & Storage) Job in Colruyt Group

Job Description

Whom are we looking for?

• A true Infrastructure system engineer wanting to build a long-term career at Colruyt at its location based out at Hyderabad.
• A clear communicator in English and a team player.
• An Engineering graduate in Computer Science or equivalent from a reputed institute with overall 5 years experience in IT environment with system administration on Vmware/SAN/Backup & Recovery/ Server Hardware
• With the following primary skillsets:
  • Provisioning/delivery of Physical Linux and Windows Servers as per business need.
  • 2ndline support for the Infrastructure assets such as Storage, Backup administration, Server HW (Dell\IBM\HP), VMware etc.
  • Firmware upgrades
  • SAN storage
• With the following skills that can give you an added advantage:
  • Working experience of both Windows & Linux Operating System
  • Scripting Python, Rest API, Powershell
  • Working experience of Backup , Storage
  • Basic administration in VMware
  • Backup and recovery skills

Roles and responsibilities :

• Provide 2nd line (incident/change/problem management) support for Infrastructure Services Team on Linux & Windows Server platform and assets such as Storage Infrastructure, SAN Infrastructure, Backup Infrastructure, Server Hardware ,Virtualization environment (VMWare)
• Create, deploy, and maintain network and server infrastructure that relies on VMware products such as vSphere, vRealize, or vSAN
• Deliver Linux and Windows Servers (VM/physical as per request)
• Daily tasks include (but not limited to): scheduling and monitoring backups, performing problem determination on failed backups and backup application
• Execute firmware upgrade on the environment.
• Install, configure, support and maintainstoragearea networks and associated technology
• Execute and report on the project tasks assigned to you
• You work closely together with other system engineers (Linux and Windows system engineers, data-center engineers, database administrators, network engineers...) and together in an international context.
