Job Summary Technical skills and competenciesAbility to deal with customers at all levels through an approachable and customer focused awareness.An inquisitive and analytical mind who is service driven.A methodical and accurate worker, able to manage life cycle of incidents through to resolution. Evidence of competent writing skills and attention to detail.The ability to communicate clearly.The confidence, maturity, and stature to deal effectively with colleagues in all parts and levels of the business.Must be CCNA or JNCIA certified Must have hands on experience with Cisco or Juniper/Meraki/Palo Alto or Checkpoint or Fortinet. Excellent knowledge on multivendor LAN/WAN/Wireless/Security products (Routers, Switches, Wireless, Firewalls, VPNs etc.).Experience with L2 protocols and techniques including VLAN, Trunking, STP, RSTP, ARP, LLDP and CDP.Experience with L3 protocols and techniques including OSPF, BGP, IP, VRFs, VRRP, QoS, ACL and IPSec.Experience with other network protocols and methods including traffic engineering, Etherchannel, PAgp, LACP, TCP/IP, multicast, TACACS and IPv6.Understanding of and experience with network traffic analysis for troubleshooting (tcpdump, Wireshark, NetFlow/sFlow, iPerf, etc.)Experience with security technologies including Zones, NAT, DMZ, IPSec VPN, Remote Access VPN, Application awareness. PreferredQualified at ITIL foundation level or above.CCNP/JNCIS/CCSA/ PCNSA certificationKnowledge of AWS/Cloud networking and automation Some experience of dealing with telecommunication systems and Meraki switches.
