What You'll Do

We are looking for a passionate and hands-on Sr Dev Ops Engineer to join us on the sprint that takes us from prototype to Product. You will be an integral part of the Bodyguard team, joining us at the earliest stage of the journey and responsible for designing, developing, automating and monitoring the cloud deployment of our product. The right candidate thrives in dynamic environments and can be counted on when the going gets tough. The ideal candidate is also a great communicator with terrific follow-through who can optimize on workflow and/or document changes concisely. This role is critical to the daily acquisition of customers and their retention.

Responsibilities include:

• Design, automate and manage the cloud deployment of our product.
• Setup monitoring for our cloud deployment and proactively take measures to ensure security and availability
• Design, automate and manage our CI/CD pipeline
• Focused on meeting the needs of the product, and engineering teams by developing and maintaining automation scripts and features
• Work closely with Backend Engineers and Tech Leads to ensure a cloud solution with optimum security, scalability and availability.
• Define solutions, provide estimates on effort and risk, and evaluate technical feasibility
• Develop scripts, run and report load testing against our solution.

Our minimum requirements for this role:

• A MS degree in Computer Science / Mathematics or equivalent work experience in a field utilizing the same subject matter
• Track record of deploying, managing and debugging distributed AWS Deployments composed of EC2, Load-Balancers, TLS Certificates, NoSQL Databases and Docker Containers.
• Proficient in CI/CD Pipelines such as Jenkins
• Understanding of REST APIs for debugging and automation
• Deep understanding of Docker Containers, docker compose and how to containerize applications
• Deep understanding and experience in orchestration-based deployments like?Kubernetes, Service Fabric, Docker swarm
• Capacity to build modular, fully tested Python3 applications for automation.
• Experience in implementing Security Best Practices for cloud deployments
• Configuration level skills in tools like?SonarQube?(or similar tools)?
• Position requires a minimum of 8 years of experience Cloud and/or DevOps on highly distributed systems
• A passion for quality and an attention to detail
