Who You Are

You are a software engineer who believes in crafting customer delight thru simple and easy to use solutions. You enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with a take-charge / can-do attitude and is able to demonstrate flexibility and resiliency. You should be self-sufficient and be able to work with minimal supervision. Work with geographically distributed teams across different time zones. A full-stack developer who works on metadata driven products and applications engineering end-to-end, crafting components, widgets and persistence mechanism.

What You'll Do

• Build high performant, highly scalable, complex and distributed systems end to end
• Develop simple solutions to address complex problems.
• Contribute to a future-ready, high quality, and performant code base.
• Bring technical solutions to the leadership team, feedback on solutions recommended, new product ideas with the team through design review, pair programming, code review and tech talk.
• Ability to share technical solutions and product ideas with the broader team through design review, code review, proof-of-concepts and show and tell
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to our technology, algorithms and products
• Implement new features in a highly collaborative environment with product managers, UI/UX experts, and software and hardware engineers.

Who You'll Work With

You will be working with like-minded enthusiastic Engineers in architecting, designing, and building the products.

Work closely with other functions such as Product Management, UX and Quality Engineering to ensure right products/features are built with the highest possible quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Around 10 years of experience leading and delivering core components for an enterprise application.
• 8 years of experience in Java, Python, or other modern programming languages/technologies.
• Experience in or passion for high scale and distributed systems
• Strong understating of OOA & D, Design patterns, SOA architectures and horizontal scalability tenets
• Independently come up with ideas, and solutions to enhance the product & solution offering. Drive products with innovative ideas towards new technologies that enhance product definition towards the next generation architecture.
• Work collaboratively with Product management, Architect, Development and test teams to define and improve product features, and roadmap.
• Should be able to apply his/her knowledge of software development processes and contribute in developing system and module functional specs, design specifications, Unit and Integration test specifications and System performance test plans.
• Independently work and resolve problems found during internal testing and post product release.
• You have demonstrated excellent design and development skills in networking and network management domain (knowledge of TCP/IP, switching, routing), SNMP, CIM/XML. Should understand and analyze issues from a system view.
• You have demonstrated skills in all the following areas:
• Java & JDBC, Database modeling, Web technologies like Java/J2EE/JSP/XML/Struts/Spring/Hibernate/Dojo/Webservices.
• Experience of developing in UNIX/Linux Operating System environments
• An excellent problem solver and be able to come-up with good ideas and solutions to improve product value, quality and processes.
• You be a quick learner and should keep up-to-date with latest on technology, competitors and standards.
• An excellent team player and should be flexible to work on any assigned tasks and adjust to changing business priorities and plans.
• Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written skills, and should communicate status of his/her tasks and their dependencies with rest of the team on a regular basis.
• Should be able to work on multiple tasks at any given time.
• You possess very good knowledge of software development life cycle and processes and should take initiative in product and process improvements.
• Expert in use of standard of SCM tools (Git), CI/CD (Jenkins/Maven etc) process.
• Proven leadershiwith experience in mentoring and growing other team members.
• Ability to work and influence teams beyond your immediate group.
• Strong motivation to innovate and improve customer and product experience.
• Strong problem solving and software development/troubleshooting skills. Ability to "think in code" and discuss ideas and algorithms is a must.
• Follows development best practices like TDD, Code Reviews and owns Automated tests to ensure quality.
• Past experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

• Be highly flexible and adaptable and demonstrate passion for platform development
• Experience with the full web stack performance optimization techniques
• Familiar with AWS or other Cloud environment
• Knowledge of Python, Docker, Kubernetes.
