Who Youll work with

We are looking for software engineering (either backend or frontend developers or full stack) and 4G & 5G radio access devices and packet core technology experts to join the Cisco DNA Cloud Offer team. This includes building highly reliable and scalable Network Management services running on cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure and involves innovative full stack technical solutions.

Who you are

You are a passionate engineer having excellent grasp of front-end development skill with good hands on experience. You also have 4G and 5G packet core and radio access networks experience with network management and telemetry or monitoring data handling. You are eager & keep yourself updated on the best practices, tools & technologies in the industry. You enjoy working in a team environment & demonstrate a strong can-do attitude. You are passionate about developing quality software.

Your responsibilities include:

• Integrating new features to our product offerings by well designed, clean and easy to maintain code
• Collaborate with Internal and External Team to identify system requirements.
• Follow industry best practices and strive to improve quality and performance of the product.
• The candidate must have the ability to think at about systems and articulate key trade-offs in architecture design.
• Good knowledge of Software Engineering practices, Tools and automation frameworks is a must.
• Experience in cross-function Engineering environment that requires interfacing multiple product teams is needed.
• Help the engineering team to expand technology and networking knowledge by keeping abreast with the latest developments.

Skill set (must have)

• Bachelors degree or Masters degree in computer science/ engineering
• Overall relevant experience of 8-11 years
• Hands on experience developing UI Framework like React.js, Angular redux and node.js
• Strong expertisein React a must.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Hands on experience developing UI Framework like React.js, Angular redux and node.js
• Hands on experience in Advanced JavaScript like Promise, Closure, ES6 features.
• Knowledge of java script unit testing and debugging tools for Java.
• Highly Desired: Experience in 4G & 5G RANs or packet cores esp. in network management system
• Highly Desired: Authentication, Authorization mechanism using JWT
• Highly Desired: Design First methodology, User experience driven design
• Highly Desired: Experience building user facing features with translation of wireframe, design
• Highly Desired: Benchmarking and UI optimization
• Broad Information Technology experience, including understanding of tools, processes and standard methodologies of project execution
• Experience working with and applying Design patterns to solve problems.
• Experience with tools like Maven, ANT, CVS, SVN, Git
• Excellent debugging and testing skills
• Ability to perform performance and scalability analysis as needed.
• Excellent in problem-solving and multitasking skills
• Verify stability, interoperability, portability, security and scalability of java system architecture.
• Familiar with Agile development methodology

Preferred:

• Exposures to containers/dockers/Kubernetes
• Exposures to Logstash, Kibana, Elastic Search
• Configuration knowledge of Cisco Routers, Switches and Wireless devices
• Good problem solving related to security vulnerabilities in cloud software
• Backend computing involving Security, Database management, Device interaction
• Good problem solving, analytical skills and ability to work independently
• Windows experience is good to have.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
