Senior Cloud/python/automation Engineer Job in Cisco Systems

Cisco is a market leader in security products and technologies that includes ASA Firewall, Next Gen Firewall, Intrusion Prevention Sensor, Email and Web Security Appliances. Cisco's Security Business currently at 2 Billion USD revenue annually from its products and services is growing at fast pace. Security Business Group (SBG) of Cisco Systems (India) is looking to hire experienced Technical Leader for Virtual firewalls for our private and public cloud customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Automation , testing, CI/CD pipeline development of Virtual firewalls to be deployed in private and public cloud in Kubernetes orchestrated container environment.

What You'll Do

You will be responsible for developing automation suite, manual tesitng, CI/CD pipeline management to test virtual firewalls in different cloud platforms and containerization of the existing virtual macines.

Who You are:

A qualified candidate will possess:

MS/BS in computer science or engineering

8+ year of softtware automation / testing experience.

Experience in scripting languages such as Python and Shell Program is a must.
Knowledge of Cisco Automation Framework would be added bonus.

Should have good troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills

Knowledge of automated testing tools, like Selenium, is highly desired.

Object oriented programming knowledge is strongly desired.

Good familiarity with Cloud platform(Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI) and Networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, SSL/TLS) is required.

Good Understanding of Virtualization and Cloud computing software such as Openstack, Docker swarm, Kubernetes

Knowledge of Wireshark/Network captures is a plus.
Experience in maintaining lab hardware systems, VM setup, and work experience with ESX servers/VMWare and KVM is desired.

Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple, diverse tasks simultaneously

Good communication skills for cooperation with other departments and strategic partners

Specific Responsibilities/Functions

Work with Agile process for sprint based development/QA

To write detailed test cases, running of tests and evaluation of results for new features and functionalities

• To learn new features, evaluate automation possibilities and automate everything.

Assist in customer escalations problem reproduction and verification.

Bug verification and regression testing activities forVirtual Firewalls.
