CHANCEN International (CI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing marginalized youth in Africa
with access to high-quality skills development through ethical education financing. Chancen utilizes an
innovative and sustainable financing model known as Income Share Agreements.. We are expanding our
operations into India and seeking a highly skilled Lead Project Manager to oversee a comprehensive
feasibility study and a potential subsequent pilot of our ISA model in the region.
Responsibilities
1. Feasibility Study Management:
Lead the design and execution of the feasibility study, ensuring alignment with Chancens
objectives.
Coordinate focus group discussions and interviews with key stakeholders, including
education providers, financial institutions etc
Collaborate with internal teams and implementation partners to gather insights and advise
on the capital structure required to fund ISAs.
Draft and review contract templates and other legal documents necessary for the
implementation of the ISA model in India.
Synthesize research findings into a comprehensive presentation, including a proposed pilot
design and roadmap for implementation.
2. Pilot Project Management:
Oversee the planning and execution of the ISA pilot in India, ensuring all activities align
with the projects objectives and timelines.
Coordinate with internal product knowledge experts at Chancen and implementing partners
to support pilot implementation.
Monitor and evaluate pilot progress, providing regular updates to senior management and
stakeholders.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with the pilot project, ensuring successful outcomes.
Identify new market opportunities for ISA
3. Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including educational institutions,
training providers, financial providers etc.
Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications in India and other
countries, when appropriate.
Ensure transparent and effective communication across all project stakeholders.
4. Reporting & Documentation:
Prepare detailed reports on project milestones, challenges, and successes for internal and
external stakeholders.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of all project activities, decisions, and learnings.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business, Project Management, Economics, or a related field; a Masters
degree is preferred.
5+ years of experience in project management, with a track record of managing complex,
multi-stakeholder projects.
Experience in the education sector, financial services, and social enterprise, particularly in India, is
highly desirable.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a
cross-cultural environment.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Fluency in English, Hindi and knowledge of regional languages in India is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Income Share Agreements (ISAs) or other innovative financing models.
Understanding of the regulatory and financial landscape in India.
Experience in stakeholder management in the private, public sector and civil society at all levels.
