Quality Engineer Job in Centum

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for product quality , Improve end to end line yield and manage customer quality
• Maintain quality demands adapting to customer expectation and to provide fit for purpose meeting both internal and external requirements including legal compliance
• Support the quality inspectors to ensure that product and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system
• Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing and evaluation
• Responsible for the continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system, such as 5S, Kaizen, SPC and lean methods etc.
• Directs workers engaged in measuring and testing product and tabulating data concerning materials, product or process quality and reliability
• Supports Product Engineers and Quality Program Manager with customer interfaces as necessary on quality related issues.
• Assures data availability and integrity for all quality related data. Consolidates and reports quality results
• Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
• Initiates corrective action requests as needed and tracks to satisfactory completion
• Support production in meeting output and reliability through technical service in resolving quality issue.
• Assists with development and implementation of quality audits.
• Responsible for developing, applying, revising and maintaining quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
• Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment.
• Analyzes reports and returned products and recommends corrective action
• To exercise effective control on all processes involved in the manufacture of products as per guidelines available, trials made and expertise.
• Co-ordinating with the inspection by customer representatives, wherever required.
• Disposal of Non-conforming products as per the documented procedure

• Engineering graduate with specialization in electrical or electronics or mechanical.
• Knowledge of Quality tools and continual improvement methods such as 5S,Kaizen,SPC and Lean methods
• Working knowledge of Surface mounts technology used in electronics manufacturing industry.
• True knowledge of IPC 600 and IPC 610 standards
• Working knowledge in Quality Management System such as ISO 9001, TS 16949, and ISO 14001...etc...
• Knowledge of Control plans and FMEA
• Working Knowledge on ESD and MSD requirements.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Problem solving abilities.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Good spoken and written English
• Good skill of MS Office
