Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience as aPostgres DBA on version 9x to version 14.x
• Hands on experience creating RDS instance in AWS
• Hands on experience setting up DMS replication instance in AWS
• Hands on experience setting up replication between on-prem database and RDS on AWS.
• Strong experience in upgrading Postgres database to version 14.x
• Expert level knowledge of backup and recovery.
• Strong understanding of Postgres RDBMS architecture
• Experienced with implementations and upgrades.
• Strong performance tuning skills
• System Administrator-level working knowledge/experience with at two of the following: Windows, Linux (including OEL), Solaris, AIX, or HP-UX
• Strong verbal, written, organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to provide accurate and realistic effort estimates, commit and deliver accordingly.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills; creative thinking
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional non-business hours
• Ability to work productively in a team environment and participate as a positive and cooperative team member.
• BS or BA in Computer Science or Business Management or equivalent work experience

Preferred Skills

• Cloud experience in additionto AWS
• Exposure to other databases like Oracle and SQL Server
