This is a HR Specialist II (Data Scientist) role, reporting to Team Lead of People Analytics Team and will be based in Bangalore. As a core member of the People Analytics (PA) team, you will be responsible for delivering data analytics support to the HR community, business managers and employees.

Your responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional and global teams to lead projects solving complex business problems using data analytics. Own complete analytics project lifecycle from requirement gathering, data extraction to reporting/ presenting the findings in IC role or with the team as per project needs.
  • Proactively work on methodologies and frameworks to connect different business data together to solve business problems and deliver impact on ABBs people experience, performance and culture.
  • Develop interpret algorithms models knowledge in programming ML languages like Python, R. Develop statistical testing programs to measure and improve on-going performance of employee metrics.
  • Apply appropriate techniques, such as exploratory data analysis, regression, bootstrapping, trees, cluster analysis, survival analysis, forecasting techniques and so on.
  • Effectively use data mining algorithms such as clustering, decision trees, logistic regression, ARMIA, Bayesian networks, neural networks etc.
  • Work with senior stakeholders to help them conceptualize People KPIs and build reporting and analytics solutions from scratch, and have a strong bias towards creating clean, powerful, user-focused visualizations to deliver insights and analysis. Technologies used could vary from Power BI, Advanced Excel, VBA, or any other new technology.
  • Interact with Global ABB leadership to seek and provide meaningful and actionable insights in all interactions. Execute strategic projects to help ABB drive excellence in people, performance, and culture.

Your background

  • Masters in a Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering.
  • Candidate should possess €œCan-do€ attitude with excellent quantitative skills, with an ability to work on large datasets. He / She should be able to generate actionable insights from data analysis that translate to valuable business decisions for the client.
  • Experience in Machine Learning, AI and Automation (Automaton, BI tools & Excel VBA).
  • Experience in HR analytics and 2+ years of developing end-to-end Business Intelligence solutions: data modeling, ETL and reporting.
  • Expertise on Advanced R/Python coding, Machine Learning and Natural Language processing experience is must.
  • Understanding of SAP HCM system is an added advantage.
  • Experience in designing and maintaining dashboards/ reports providing diagnostic and forecasting view using VBA, PowerBI, Qlik, Tableau.
  • Excellent English, quantitative, technical, and communication (oral/written) skills.
