This is Design Engineer -Traction Motors, reporting to the Local Product Group Manager, in Business Area €“ Motion located in Vadodara. You will be responsible for designing, drafting, and testing high quality technical drawings according to customer or internal input/ specifications.

Your responsibilities

• Designing, calculating and simulating electrical circuits, hardware, parts, sub assemblies, of assemblies of electro mechanical devices and products in collaboration with the design team in accordance with specifications.
• Proposing appropriate list of materials necessary for designing, and entering information in ERP system.
• Preparing design calculations using standard and non-standard calculation tools.
• Coordinating prototype construction to ensure compliance of the project with the related tests.
• Adjusting designs as necessary based on test results.
• Reviewing the implementation of design checking the correct component rates.
• Ensuring continuous standardization in order to promote the re-usability of the developed technical solutions.
• Cooperating with other teams to ensure best use of available tools in order to enhance efficiency and minimize errors.
• Optimizing design to meet updated standards, lower costs, and incorporate new products, components and functionalities.

Your background

• Diploma/ Graduate in Mechanical engineer or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 to 8 years of experience in design.
• Preferred from Traction Motors industry.
• Knowledge of AUTO CAD/ Solid works is must.
• SAP Knowledge preferred.
• Good Communication skills as will be interacting with global team.
