Job Summary Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Guidewire Developer with hands-on experience in at least one of the Guidewire products (Claims, Policy, or Billing). This is an exciting opportunity for professionals who have a strong background in the integration of Guidewire with third-party systems and possess knowledge of Web services, XML, GxModel, and batch implementation. You will play a key role in implementing, modifying, and maintaining the software for our clients in the insurance domain. As part of a dynamic team, you'll be responsible for designing and integrating complex systems, working in an Agile environment, and contributing to the overall success of our projects. This role requires a blend of technical skills and communication abilities, along with a problem-solving mindset to address business needs and requirements. Key Responsibilities Guidewire Product Expertise: Utilize hands-on experience with at least one of the Guidewire products Claims, Policy, or Billing to configure and enhance solutions for clients. Admin Data Loading: Work with Admin data loading to ensure smooth integration and data flow between Guidewire products and other systems. Web Services & Integration: Develop and integrate Web services (SOAP/REST) for data exchange between Guidewire and third-party systems. Messaging & Batch Implementation: Leverage your knowledge in messaging protocols and batch processing to handle large volumes of data. Document Composition: Implement and integrate document generation tools such as Xpressions and Thunderhead. Database Management: Design, implement, and optimize database solutions using Oracle or SQL Server; write and optimize complex SQL queries. Workflow Design & Modification: Design and modify existing workflows, particularly for Billing Integration within Guidewire. Agile Methodology: Participate in SCRUM Agile development cycles, contributing to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily standups. Stakeholder Communication: Work closely with business analysts, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the solution. Required Skills & Experience Guidewire Expertise: Proven hands-on experience with at least one of the following Guidewire products: Claims, Policy, or Billing. Admin Data Loading: Experience in handling and managing Admin data loading processes in Guidewire. Web Services & Integration: Strong experience with Web services (SOAP/REST), XML, GxModel, and messaging protocols. Batch Implementation: Knowledge in implementing batch jobs for data processing and integration. Database Skills: Strong experience working with relational databases (Oracle/SQL Server) and proficiency in writing complex SQL queries. Workflow Design: Hands-on experience in designing and modifying workflows, specifically in Billing Integration. SCRUM Agile: Familiarity with SCRUM Agile methodology; a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is preferred. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to clients and team members. Preferred Competencies JavaScript: Proficiency in JavaScript for custom development and integrations. API Integration: Experience with API integration, including RESTful services. Policy Development: Knowledge in policy development processes, particularly in the insurance industry. Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and resolve integration and technical issues.
