Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Engineer Cloud Services with 4 -7 years of hands-on experience in Linux environment, System Administration, Support, and Maintenance. You shall be responsible for effective provisioning, operation, installation/configuration, and maintenance of Linux, Windows servers. You are also expected to be hands-on with AWS ((EC2, ELB, RDS, S3, EBS, EFS, ElastiCache, VPC, Route53, IAM, CDN, API GW), and Google Cloud.

Skills Required

  • Minimum 4 7 years experience in a Systems/Linux Administrator role
  • Independent problem solver and self starter. Strong documentation abilities necessary to ensure timely problem resolution
  • Certification in RHEL and AWS and Google Cloud infrastructure will be an added advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Proactively maintain and develop the Linux infrastructure to maintain a 24x7x365 uptime service
  • Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various project and operational needs
  • Strong technical problem solving skills and experience in IP networking and static routing FTP, SSH, SMTP, DNS, HTTP/S, DHCP, Syslog logging facility
  • Competency in administrating the OS for very large database systems (TB+)
  • Experience with Firewalls (IPTABLES/IPCHAINS)
  • Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments
  • Fault finding, analysis and logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
  • Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning
  • Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades patches, hotfixes on servers, workstations, and network hardware
  • Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks
  • Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
  • Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes
  • Knowledge of AWS, and other cloud platforms
  • Team player and ability to work independently and effectively under pressure in a high paced and energetic environment
