Senior Software Developer (python) Job in Cactus Communications Pvt. Ltd.

The opportunity:

We are looking for a software engineering lead who will be part of Cactus Labs and contribute to the digital transformation of publishing industry.

As a software engineering lead, you will be involved in designing, reviewing, coding features that enable various language products and services. You will develop software and services at scale, innovating on the latest technologies (Cloud, AI, IoT, AR/VR) while engineering as a DevOps in a highly automated environment with Continuous Integration & Deployment as well as collecting telemetry data that helps us monitor our service and helps diagnose and resolve issues quickly. You will work closely with peers across teams to help build flexible and high-performing components that enable next generation of business services.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of Software Engineers
• Spend at least 50% time in hands on product development and own certain projects end to end
• Hold teams and individuals accountable for results by providing clarity
• Provide expertise and lead the design and implementation of Software Services
• Guide developers in implementation and conduct regular code review
• Drive a DevOps culture establishing top engineering processes/practices
• Energize people by motivating and infusing optimism
• Help with recruitment and performance management of the teams

Requirements (Desires skills & experience):

• 7+ years of experience delivering scalable and resilient solutions at large enterprise scale
• 2+ years of experience of leading software engineering team
• 5+ years of Python (C++ or equivalent) experience with the ability to contribute to technical architecture across platforms and data components. Similar experience in designing secure, scalable and cost-efficient services on the AWS platform or equivalent cloud platform
• Experience with microservices and serverless architectures
• Experience building and shipping consumer-facing products
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, NoSQL
• Experience shaping a DevOps culture with a vision for building and nurturing an innovative culture
• Capability to work independently on the most complex code contributions of a feature
• Have experience in building machine learning/deep learning models will be an added advantage
