Job Location Chennai / Dharmapuri

Experience 2 to 4 years

Qualifications Bachelors or masters in Computer Science or similar discipline We are looking for a software engineer to work in a global company with products and teams across the globe.

Responsibilities

Design, coding, testing and deployment of enterprise applications using Java, Python or other languages
Evaluation of new tools and processes for our web scraping, database and data feed groups
Database design, coding and maintenance SQL and NoSQL
Familiarity with agile software development methodology, engineering tools and release processes.

Requirements

Experience in working with global teams (geographically distributed team working in different time zones) preferred.
Highly motivated and able to passionately manage varying priorities in a fast-paced environment
Its preferred to have good knowledge and experience in Agile development, Continuous Integration using TeamCity
Excellent knowledge of Databases: RDBMS (SQL, MySQL) and NoSQL like Mango, Hadoop et al. Should have worked with systems that are of the order of at least 1 to 2 TB in size.
Experience with data analytics platforms preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Familiarity with web scraping strategies and tools
Familiar with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GIT
