Job Summary Position Summary The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration within a designated geographic region. This role involves managing a team of sales representatives, developing and executing sales strategies, building relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Sales Management and Strategy Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives. Set and monitor sales targets for the team, ensuring their achievement. Analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities. Conduct regular sales reviews and provide coaching and feedback to the team. Channel Management and Development Establish and maintain strong relationships with authorized wholesalers, institutions, and consumers. Optimize channel distribution networks and ensure product availability. Identify and develop new distribution channels to expand market reach. Sales Operations Oversee sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Ensure compliance with sales policies, procedures, and regulations. Manage sales support activities, such as trade promotions, market activations, and customer service. Team Leadership Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing sales team. Motivate and inspire the team to achieve their goals. Provide leadership and guidance to foster a positive work environment. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field. 2-5 years of sales experience for MBA graduates, or 6-8 years for graduates. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Knowledge of sales methodologies and techniques. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Desired Competencies Understanding of channel sales and distribution operations. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent time management and organizational abilities. Adaptability to change and ability to work under pressure.
