Senior Security Engineer Job in Branch

What you ll do:

• Provide guidance and pragmatic solutions on application security design, preventive and offensive security measures to cross-functional teams (engineering, product, customer success, sales and legal).
• Analyze, assess, and respond to various internet threats and vulnerabilities, including recommending security fixes or defect remediation.
• Interact directly with our security bounty program or security researchers regarding vulnerabilities and threats.
• Conduct regular security assessments (e.g. against OWASP top 10 vulnerabilities, XSS) and internal penetration testing.
• Provide internal security awareness training and mentoring to engineers.

You ll be a good fit if you have:

• Professional experience building SaaS, software applications or APIs for 5+ years.
• A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills, willingness to collaborate and engage with different teams and the ability to dive into technical details.
• The ability to read software codes and to build simple security tools in Java, JavaScript, Python or similar scripts.
• Experience working with modern cloud based microservice architectures or cloud security (e.g. AWS).
• An understanding of or hands-on experience in DevSecOps.
• A track record in contributing to open source software or security meetups.
• Security credentials in AWS Security specialist, CEH or CISSP would be ideal, though not required.
