Function Safety Test Expert- Automotive Job in Bosch Group

• Analyze System & Software functional safety requirements for different ASIL requirements for body/chassis electronics system.

• Specify safety requirements test specifications on various hardware and software systems/subsystemslevels.

• Conduct and supervisesafety relevant testing tasks

• Develop and maintain work products defined by the safety standards.

• Establish VnV Safety test plan as per Safety standards and own the document.

• Establish and monitor development flows and processes to achieve and sustain required quality and safety levels

• Handle System & software compliance against ISO26262 safety standards, collaborate on efforts, measure results, and provide status reports

• Work very closely with System teams, Software teams, hardware teams. Participate in verification, test planning, coverage closure etc.

• Develop test plans and verify new software functionality (not limited to safety)

• There will be multiple opportunities to collaborate and communicate effectively with the architecture and software teams.

• Execute functional safety verification and validation

• Discuss functional safety related topics with the customer

• Organize and lead internal and external project team meetings

• Regular reporting to project team and management

• Participate & support safety analyses ( FTA, FMEDA, FMEA, DFA)

• Own Safety case for VnV part

• Impart functional safety mindset within the team

• 6 to 8 years of industry experience in a related field

• Hold a B.Tech. or higher degree in Electronics Engineering / Power Electronics.

• Exposure to technical safety concepts, i.e. for electric powertrains, body and chassis and E/E architectures.

• Good understanding of software quality concepts and processes

• Practical experience with certifying software against known industry standards like ISO26262

• Proficiency in C/C++ and coding standards like Automotive MISRA or similar

• Strong background in real-time embedded systems.

• Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessor, and microcontroller fundamentals (caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA, etc.)
