Job Summary

The Position

Responsible for providing technical direction and oversight for the application of existing and developing products in the marketing area. To acquire and provide relevant scientific knowledge in the veterinary field. Develop and maintain networks with relevant stakeholders and organizations of interest, for the purpose of strategic portfolio choices. Provide internal (sales reps and other team members) and external (mainly vets and farmers) customers with (technical) support in order to improve their business and to maximize collaboration opportunities with us within the legal framework. Possible Functional lead / Participation in international technical teams.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Lead technical components of Proof of Concept for potential new products. Design, implement, and report market support trials. Mine the data and distill the information to relevant messages. Provide input on financial projections for new product opportunities.
  • Provide technical support to marketing on all promotional pieces, programs including reference check, development of key technical statements, competitive analysis, technical review including the routing process, and ensuring that materials pass regulatory and legal review.
  • Provide technical sales support to Field Sales through customer interactions, on-site customer training, and handling customer inquiries.
  • Generate written and oral technical communications including scientific papers and presentations at professional meetings. Ensure technical accuracy of promotional communications.
  • Liaisons with appropriate Key Opinion Leaders. Provide technical training (internal and external) as it relates directly or indirectly to BI products. Create sales tools such as PowerPoint presentations and technical bulletins.
  • Build, explain, and utilize economic modeling for production agricultural utilization. Translate scientific and production data into commercial economic impact.
  • Performs all Company business in accordance with all regulations and Company policy and procedures. When violations are noted/observed they are to be immediately reported to management. Demonstrates high ethical and professional standards with all business contacts in order to maintain BI's excellent reputation within the animal health community and internally. Successfully completes the Compliance Modules assigned annually by the Company.
  • Manage on a daily basis issues with respect to the Technical query, product complaint including customer complaint, on job training to sales team.
  • Technical training to sales team, customer and veterinary practitioners.
  • Monitoring on going clinical / field trials
  • Meets with customers together with sales team,attends technical seminars organized by Veterinary colleges/ Universities, Veterinary organizations, Animal Health departments.
  • Manage assigned project/ projects on business avenue.
  • Provides ongoing Technical coaching and development to sales team regarding specific BI products, therapeutic areas and selling skills to optimize sales for the regional area.
  • Relation building with Key Stake holders for business development.
  • Conducting clinical / Field trials.
  • Manages independent organization projects on business avenue.


Requirements

  • Education : Bachelors degree, Masters degree (Veterinary)
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the animal health industry
  • Well developed communication skills verbal and written
  • Proven experience in trial design and conduction including basic understanding of statistical analysis.
  • In-depth understanding of Sales and Marketing operations
  • In-depth understanding of poultry key accounts operations
  • Multi-tasking, Collaboration, Planning & Analytical skills
  • Disease management
  • A minimum of 3-5 years in technical services
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and database applications.
  • Ability to travel (may include overnight travel).
  • Should reside in assigned geography or be willing to relocate.

Bachelors degree, Masters degree (Veterinary)
