Job Summary
1. Job Details Job Title: Analyst - Channel Accounting (Payouts & Collection Accounting) Designation: Analyst Function: Finance Sub-Function: Channel Accounting Location: Bangalore Airtel Office Level/Grade: Executive/Sr Executive 2. Position Description The primary objective of this role is to efficiently manage Channel Partner Commission Payouts and Collection Accounting. This includes timely accounting within the books of accounts and processing activities in a Shared Services environment, ensuring compliance with established quality, performance, and Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards. 3. Organizational Relationship Reporting To: Manager / Assistant Manager 4. Primary Responsibilities Channel Optimization: Manage channel partner activities, including commission calculation, settlement, reconciliation, and accounting. Coordinate with banks to facilitate the collection process and associated accounting. Perform bank reconciliations across multiple accounts with high transaction volumes. Maintain SLAs as per regional requirements across India. Oversee month-end closing activities, ensuring documentation of any significant variances. Collaborate with Circle teams to understand Sales and Distribution notes relevant to commission payouts. Ensure timely submission of payout calculations to the respective circles and facilitate prompt settlements to trade partners. Adhere to bookkeeping guidelines provided by the Central Financial Reporting team. Contribute to process improvements and issue resolution by engaging with cross-functional teams. Conduct audits and ensure timely closure with minimal issues or escalations. Familiarize oneself with accounting policies and guidelines. Participate in special projects as assigned by the Team Lead. Understand telecom-related schemes and product constructs, managing large volumes of transactions and complex schemes. Process Optimization: Identify gaps and areas for improvement to enhance the efficiency of existing processes. Research industry best practices to integrate innovative tools and technologies. People Management: Collaborate closely with team members to ensure seamless execution of tasks. 5. Knowledge, Certifications, and Experience Educational Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Business Administration (BBA), or Master s in Commerce (M.Com) MBA in Finance (optional) Total Experience: Executive: Fresher or 1+ years of relevant experience in Finance and Accounting (F&A) Senior Executive: 3+ years of relevant experience in F&A 6. Key Interactions Internal Stakeholders: Finance Cross-Functional Teams Circle Teams External Stakeholders: Internal/External Auditors Banking Institutions 7.
