Software Engineering Program Manager Job in Betterworks

You should have a solid understanding of Agile and the ability to coach the organization at large on how to use and implement best practices. You must maintain an uncompromising commitment to operational excellence and execution.You should be able to break down velocity and associated metrics into meaningful, actionable direction. Most importantly, you will be setting the standard for program and project management at BetterWorks as we grow and expand. When all s said and done, you keep the trains running on time.

What you ll be doing:

• Overseeing the daily operations of the R&D teams and workstreams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Coordinating with key stakeholders to determine project scope, drive commitment, and ultimately set product delivery expectations.
• Establishing and enforcing program approach including but not limited to deliverables mapping with different stages of the project as well as establishing sign off process for the same.
• Engaging with third-party vendors to ensure proper alignment and management of activities.
• Owning, evangelizing, and coaching all aspects of Agile across R&D and the organization at large.
• Establishing, reviewing, and revising KPIs as a means to continuously improve our engineering team s performance

Requirements and what will help you be successful:

• 5+ years of relevant work experience with detailed knowledge and understanding of product development processes.
• Bachelor s Degree
• Experience in Agile SW development principles and advanced understanding of Agile methodologies and best practices.
• Expert level experience and understanding of Jira.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Experience working with SaaS.
• Ability to convert complex problems and solutions into easily understood, consumable terms
• Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity
• A clear track record of making a difference in the projects you drive by relying on data.
