Job Summary
Position Summary & key accountabilities:
- The Director, Business Development will be responsible for hunting contracts for Zeta s products and solutions amongst government banks and issuers.
- The functional responsibilities will therefore encompass the following, but not be limited to:
- End to end sales closure - including hunting, needs identification, solutioning, pitching and closing deals with mid-size and large banks in the country.
- Work closely with the System Integration team to see the initial implementation of each contract through to the end.
- Work across internal and external teams to craft winning responses to RFPs
- Meet assigned targets for profitable sales growth across all product lines
- Strong relationship building and a door opener for new sales in Public Sector BanksResponsible for the entire cycle i.e. product presentation, closing rate negotiations, go live strategy etc.
- Devise growth strategies for revenue generation.
- Developing strong relationships with the customer leading to deep understanding of their products and long-term business strategies
- Managing Key Relationships with partners & stakeholders.
- Ensuring Zeta s visibility across portfolio partners.
- Participating in banking and fintech events in the country.
- Hunting for 10+ opportunities and close at least 2-3 contracts within 12-18 months.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- The ideal candidate will also be characterized by the following attributes:
Experience :Young and dynamic leader with proven business development expertise with 6+ years of hunting experience typically gained within the financial services industry, preferably working with solution providers catering to the needs of banks/financial institutions* Extensive exposure to enterprise sales hunting and farming, marketing (offline and digital), product support and operations* Strong rolodex with the top officials and the decision makers in PSU Banks and other government agencies* Demonstrated experience of the overall FinTech solutions* Strong Business knowledge of Financial Services and Technology to have conversations across C-level with client organizations.* Focused and possess sales mindset* Ability to manage situations on the ground and partner relationships* Strong prospecting, Presentation skills with proven track record of closing deals with Corporate HR* Adapt to a fast-paced environment
Specific knowledge :Knowledge of the Indian Banking and Financial Services industry.* Proven sales experience in a business-to-business, large / strategic customer segment.
Management & Leadership Capabilities:
The candidate should also possess:* Strong business acumen, problem-solving ability, and tech savvy* Strong stakeholder relationship management skills able to influence and manage the expectations of senior executives and others* Strong networking skills with the ability to build and maintain a network of external market and internal business relationships* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good presentation skills and excellent negotiation skills. Ability to engage with the Board and senior management.* Adaptable, approachable, open minded with a clear understanding of the business; The incumbent must bring the ability and orientation to contribute beyond his scope of work* High degree of integrity, moral and ethical standards* Hands on, i.e. roll-up-sleeve type
EDUCATION :The incumbent should be a qualified engineer (preferably software) coupled with MBA from a premium institute.
