Job Summary

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, internal stock distribution of both seed and non seed items related to plant operations and toller.
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization by initiating and enforcing operational policies and procedures by adhering to all warehouse handling and shipping legislation requirements.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to Bayers Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards along with government rules and regulations.
  • Supports and helps track financial management activities such as budgeting, cost management, capital management, expense reporting, payroll tracking, DOA control.
  • Accountable for periodic physical count of stock, annual audit of stocks (seed and non-seed items) as per plan. Responsible for external stock take / physical count of stock as planned. Explaining the reasons of any discrepancies found after stock take. Coordinating with finance for stock adjustment after approval.
  • Closely work with the production teams in planning monthly production inventory management, scheduling of import shipments, duty free import clearance.
  • Sampling of DRTY seeds for quality tests as per task list or inspection plan. Sample submission of SEMI or FERT received after milling / treatment / pack operations. Submission of samples for germ update as per IM guidelines and or before expiry.
  • Management of Seed and Non Seed Inventory qualitative and quantitative, Stock management flow from store to shop-floor or work centers and again from work centers to stores.
  • Executes intermediate to advanced activities in Bayer systems (SAP and electronic networks), commonly used in production processes.
  • Perform intermediate to advanced computer/Microsoft Suite program skills.
  • Positive attitude, team player and willingness to collaborate across all departments and business units. Recruit, select, orient, coach, and motivate employees.
  • Coordination with local transporters for smooth delivery/call back shipments, local freight negotiations.
  • To manage and coordinate with entire delivery logistics team that is responsible for vehicle movement, order tracking and customer on time delivery.
  • Responsible for conducting Statutory Stock Audit, QMS Audit, IMS Audit.
  • Responsible for all Business Communications on regular Business matters, interactions with outside Vendors wherever needed.
  • Support areas across the plant in driving the adoption of continuous improvement practices and programs (5S, Lean, Six Sigma) conducive to an organized and clean work environment.
  • Utilize 1PSS techniques to initiate process and standard work improvements.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Ability to communicate with other entities (English language required, speak and write).
  • Minimum of a BS degree with 5+ years experience in a manufacturing, agricultural, engineering and/or technical environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people.
  • Results oriented leadership approach.
  • Capability to clearly present information and influence or persuade others through oral or written communications.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems while exhibiting situational judgement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and Word.
