Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage reliability budgets to meet system/subsystem, component reliability targets, using proven engineering processes and techniques with minimal guidance.
  • Assess reliability across system designs, subsystems, component architecture, materials, and applicable techniques.
  • Create and enforce procedures to test and validate system/subsystem reliability.
  • Manage multiple reliability-focused projects simultaneously.
  • Analyze and define reliability requirements based on product standards (both collateral and specific).
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (systems, hardware, service, manufacturing, quality, etc.) to ensure seamless reliability process integration.
  • Lead efforts in reliability predictions, testing, and post-market performance assessments using industry-leading methods and tools.
  • Provide support to sustaining teams for post-market events and investigations.
  • Work with external vendors and suppliers to develop specifications for testing systems and equipment.
  • Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required, or a Postgraduate degree in Reliability Engineering.
  • Certification as a Reliability Engineer or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in electromechanical medical devices is an advantage.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electromechanical engineering, particularly in medical devices.
  • Solid background in systems engineering and critical thinking.
  • Expertise in key areas such as:
    • Reliability planning, including requirement setting and goal management.
    • Utilizing reliability prediction techniques such as parts count and stress analysis.
    • Modeling and allocating reliability targets for components and subsystems.
    • Designing and executing tests, including Accelerated Life Testing and Reliability Demonstration Testing.
    • Proficiency in statistical techniques for reliability analysis and testing.
    • Conducting Weibull analysis and interpreting data.
  • Expertise in developing tests that meet US and international standards for factors like vibration, thermal aging, and mechanical stresses.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis methods, such as FMEA and Cause-Effect Diagrams.
  • Experience in creating Fault Tree Diagrams (FTAs).
  • Knowledge of advanced reliability acceleration testing methods.
  • Familiarity with tools like Excel, Minitab, Windchill/Relex, and Reliasoft.
  • Experience with MATLAB and Python programming is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, including technical writing and the creation of clear, concise reports and presentations.
  • Comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders across various organizational levels.
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a collaborative team.

  • Qualification :
    Engineering degree in Mechanical or Mechanical Engineering required or Postgraduate in Reliability engineering.
