Job Summary

As a Lead System Integrator at Baxter, you will provide both business and technical leadership across one or more projects within our hardware subsystems for the infusion system product portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional program management skills, and a passion for product development. Your work will have a lasting impact on the lives of patients, driving projects that directly influence their well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration with Global Teams: Partner with global product engineering teams to identify projects and oversee the optimization or creation of new technical offerings, processes, or programs. Develop and maintain project plans, align cross-functional teams, manage risks, and guide projects through to release.
  • Leadership and Guidance: Lead the project team by setting clear goals, assigning tasks, and providing regular feedback to ensure team alignment and success.
  • Ownership and Accountability: Take full responsibility for project success, ensuring that program schedules, performance metrics, and delivery meet the established requirements on time and within budget.
  • Resource Management: Work closely with leadership to identify staffing, lab equipment, facilities, and material needs for optimal project success.
  • Tracking and Communication: Monitor project progress against plans and communicate status updates to both team members and leadership. Lead regular Scrum or project meetings to assess progress and address issues.
  • Project Scheduling: Develop detailed project timelines and schedules, ensuring that all milestones are met effectively.
  • Multi-Project Management: Navigate and balance multiple projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Decision-Making Facilitation: Facilitate discussions with stakeholders and the core project team to ensure clear, timely decision-making and communication.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 10 years of professional experience.
  • Project Management Experience: At least 5 years of experience in managing complex engineering projects, with a strong understanding of the Product Development Life Cycle.
  • Agile Expertise: Experience executing hardware programs using Agile methodologies.
  • Certifications: PMP, SAFe, and Agile CSM certifications are desired. Six Sigma Green Belt certification is an added advantage.
  • Agile Methodology Proficiency: Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile project management.
  • Project Planning Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project and other planning tools.
  • Medical Device Experience: Proven success leading cross-functional, global teams within the medical device industry, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Strong Business Acumen: Ability to navigate complex business challenges and drive decisions that benefit the organization.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to effectively engage diverse audiences at all levels of the organization.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment, manage continuous change, and challenge the status quo when necessary.
  • Manufacturing and Development Knowledge: Understanding of good manufacturing procedures, laboratory standards, and product development processes.
  • Global Team Collaboration: Experience working within a global team to understand project requirements and translate them into actionable project deliverables.
  • Documentation Management: Skilled in creating and maintaining essential project deliverables, such as timelines, meeting minutes, and status reports.
