Job Summary
Objectives of the Position
To manage and lead the lab team in accordance with business requirements and to ensure smooth workflows as well as adequate product and process quality, to optimize lab workflows in terms of costs, quality, safety and environmental protection.
Main Tasks
- Steer and coordinate lab workflows formulate and document work programs and objectives. Manage complex tasks / projects to achieve organization goals.
- Development of new products on time with right quality. Analyze and modify existing products for cost optimization and to meet technical customer requirements.
- Manage new RM evaluation projects for cost competitive resins, pigments, solvents, additives for BIL & ASEAN countries.
- Development of suitable application process for designed products. Should be able to design different application program at Lab and online to support customer.
- To solve the problems by using different problem-solving tools, finding Root cause, and taking corrective and preventive actions and work out sound scientific solutions to problems both theoretically and by experiments.
- Examine lab workflows (regarding costs, resources, processes, quality, safety, environmental protection), implement optimization measures and test the usefulness of the latest techniques and guidelines.
- Develop procedures for safe & efficient working as per ISO / IATF requirements.
- Co-ordinate with different functions to collaborate and achieve organization goals.
- Introduction of new products and technologies at customer line, ensure customer satisfaction by resolving line issues on priority and providing customer sustainable solutions.
- Lead and develop employees (according to BASF guidelines, support of employees in personal development and qualification)
Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position
- Education: Bachelor s Degree in Science / Paint Technology / Chemical Technology
- Working Experience (min required exp.): min. 15 years & above
- Technical & Professional Knowledge: Automotive Coatings ingredients and formulation technology / Managerial Skills
- Knowledge of Paint application process.
- Experience of handling team of minimum 10 members.
