Job Summary
Job Profile:
He should initiate and innovate modified and new designs of existing & new products and work on cost saving projects, design improvements and be aware about the competitors changed designs of products. He should keep himself abreast of the changing technology.
Primary Responsibility:
- Prepare a plan for the financial year comprising of the budget for new projects, training in the respective area related to improved designs.
- Close Communication with the Marketing Dept. for obtaining inputs regarding new designs / modifications suggested by customer / consultants.
- He has to estimate the cost of development / design of any product and fit the same into the targeted budget.
- Preparation of the GANTT chart for any new design with time bound targets.
- Interaction with cross functional Dept.Heads for achieving completion of the set targets.
- He should be technically sound and aware about the relative effects of bought out components on our main product by way of material properties of plastics, rubber, plating etc.
- MIS reporting to the Managing Director.
- Keep himself updated on the latest design softwares available in the market and give input to the management accordingly.
- He must act as a mentor to his subordinates and exhibit good leadership qualities.
Secondary Responsibility:
- ISO documentation
Skill Set required:
- Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineer
- Diploma / Certfied Course in Design Software is mandatory
- Good communication, Presentation skills.
- Leadership Qualities
- Technical grip on Casting technology
- Knowledge in Ms-Office
Experience Required :
10 to 15 Years
