The Opportunity:

The Enterprise Master Data Engineer is responsible for the creation, maintenance, and governance of master data related to customers, products, and users within AMEA organization. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP ECC, within the life sciences industry. The incumbent will ensure data completeness, accuracy, consistency, integrity and usefulness to support business operations and decision-making processes.

What we're looking for:

Education:

  • IT bachelor s degree preferred, Engineering bachelor s degree accepted with appetite for and understanding of large database management and exposure to ERP such as SAP ECC, R4, S4

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in master data and large sensitive database management (Customers and Products); Life science industry, chemical or pharmaceutical industry preferred, e-commerce accepted
  • Proven experience with SAP ECC/R4/S4, SAP C4C knowledge a plus
  • Strong understanding of the interactions between customers, products, and users master data in a business context.

  • Advanced-user knowledge of SAP (ECC and C4C)
  • Functional SAP knowledge in SAP modules and tables, particularly within SE16N reading and writing management
  • Affinity with large data sets and analytics
  • Experienced level in MS Excel is mandatory, knowledge of other advanced database management systems such as Power BI desirable, basic VBA and jscript skills a plus
  • Show initiative and ownership to run projects, improvements, and transitions on global processes independently
  • Possession of a preexisting internal network of Master Data/ERP resources a plus

Master Data Management:

  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and governance of master data for customers, products, and users.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all relevant systems
  • Develop and implement data management policies, standards, and procedures.

Systems and Tools:

  • Manage and maintain master data in SAP ECC (P20/I20) and C4C (Sales and Service Clouds)
  • Collaborate with IT and other departments to enhance data management processes and tools.
  • Monitor and resolve data quality issues.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • This position is integrated in AMEA Commercial Excellence team, and works closely with Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Supply Chain, IT, and other departments to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with all business partners.
  • Facilitate data integration and synchronization across different systems and platforms.
  • Work with global teams in EU and NA (different time zones) to identify core issues and propose resolution pathways

Data Governance:

  • Establish and enforce data governance frameworks.
  • Conduct regular audits and data quality checks and Analytics
  • Provide support to end-users on data management creation and maintenance

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Generate and analyze reports on master data quality and performance metrics.
  • Identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management
