Job Summary

Job Role

The Product Owner, Salesforce role will work directly with AutoRABIT product managers and Scrum team members to improve the feature functionality of our DevOps products. Reporting to the Group Product Manager, the Product Owner for Salesforce will take ownership of the product, support definition, prioritization, and development of our CI/CD and Release automation products focused on Salesforce Metadata, data Packaging and Deployment.

AutoRABIT s products are designed to deliver value to developers by providing tools to enable best practices for their software value stream during the SDLC. AutoRABIT helps development organizations mature by offering products to enabling their developers to shift left with respect to quality, security, and performance.

As Product Owner, Salesforce, your responsibilities include translating the product vision into reality by maintaining roadmaps, authoring epics and scoping user stories in support of our internal software engineering team. You will work closely with the Scrum team to oversee the execution of the product vision.

AutoRABIT seeks an experienced product owner with a track record of success in DevOps product delivery. You must be technical enough to work with and understand the challenges faced by developers. You must have an excellent ability to translate those challenges into actionable items. You must live by the Scrum methodology and have strong domain knowledge in DevOps, SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, and ServiceNow, and or data management as a service.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Own the product by providing guidance and clarity to the company. You will clarify the product vision by authoring, editing, and presenting product roadmaps, and by creating epics and user stories.
  • Participate in release planning and sprint planning meetings to effectively map out goals and specific deliverables.
  • Attend daily Scrum stand-up meetings to provide clarity for the Scrum team.
  • Story mapping, in collaboration with an enthusiastic team of product owners and developers.
  • Maintain a well-defined backlog of prioritized user stories, adhering to AutoRABIT s Definition of Ready, so that the Scrum team has 2 months worth of product backlog items upon which to work.
  • Document features, keep meticulous notes, and collaborate with the other Product Management team members.
  • Work with the sales and marketing teams to provide collateral material to describe features, capabilities, and limitations.
  • Work with the customer success and enterprise support teams to handle customer escalations and other support issues requiring intervention by the product team.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years experience in product management for SaaS software development, preferably in DevOps or backup and recovery products with a strong record of execution and SaaS delivery.
  • 2+ years experience working with Scrum methodology. Must be a strong product owner. Scrum Alliance certificate is a plus.
  • 2+ years experience working with Salesforce DevOps including, but not limited to Environment Management, Package Based Development, Org Based Development, SalesforceDX and Salesforce APIs, Apex, Governor Limits
  • Excellent understanding of Salesforce Metadata and Data schema.
  • At least 1 year experience working in Jira. Experience with Confluence is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience and familiarity with other industry standard ALM platforms, and or defect tracking tools and SDLC practices.
  • Experience working with development teams deploying services into a cloud-based microservices production environment in the cloud using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Ability to think strategically and craft a compelling product vision.
  • Experience and willingness to work with remote teams in vastly different time zones. Ability to work with customers and employees during their business hours, even when halfway around the world.
  • Prior devops experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must have a great, positive attitude. Must be confident and possess a willingness to speak up.
  • Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
  • Extremely strong (essentially native) written and verbal communication skills in English are required.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, but always productively.

Education and Qualifications

  • B.S. or higher degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or other hard science is REQUIRED.
  • Scrum Alliance certifications will be given preference.
  • ALL employees must submit to a background check prior to being hired.

Work Schedule: Must be able and willing to support customers in the US and worldwide, as well as collaborate with the team in Hyderabad, India.

Travel Required: 10% or less.
