Hiring for Sales Professionals for a well funded Startup company in South Region.

(Karnataka/Tamil Nadu/Telangana/Kerala/Andhra Pradesh)


Roles and Responsibilities:

The roles and responsibilities for the position are structured across P&L management, business

development and regional processes that will be under the purview of the role.

1) P&L Management:

a. Regular evaluations of regional sales and relationships with the active vendors, channel partners and other

stakeholders in the region. Ensure prudent follow-ups and active customer engagement in the region

b. Work with State Heads, Cluster Heads and a team of Account Managers reporting into a Cluster Head and the

operations teams to identify, evaluate and execute on new business opportunities, new channel partners and

expansion strategy

c. Develop and implement regional strategy initiatives with the focus on increasing sales and traction with

partners along with means to increase repeat sales and develop sticky relationships

d. Support training and development of on-ground staff in identifying avenues for cross-selling of products and

closing deals with channel partners in process

e. Work with regional management to develop and manage timelines to meet monthly disbursement targets

f. Devising a name-wise disbursement tracking for each team member and regular tracking against the targets to

ensure overall regional targets are met within the stipulated time

g. Identify key issues affecting operational efficiency (e.g. tech downtime, human errors, etc.) and propose

solutions to implement keeping in mind minimum disruption to regular operations

h. Identify and highlight key gaps in resources to regional management as and when required which can act as a

hurdle to meeting of targets

i. Decide and execute appropriate remedial actions to redress shortfalls or variances to agreed-upon weekly,

monthly and quarterly targets

2) MIS Reporting

a. Generating daily update reports, monthly and quarterly reports tracking against sales targets and P&L build-up

for the management to track the progress of the region both for self and the team

b. Ensuring that the data in all the reports of the assigned region is accurate and is shared with the concerned

stakeholders on a timely basis

3) Team and Stakeholder Management

a. Forecasting the requirement of operations personnel at various levels in the assigned region based on the

targets and ensuring that people with relevant skills are hired on a timely basis

b. Regular and effective communication with all team members to ensure that the strategy and corresponding

goals are clear to all team members and any queries are resolved immediately

c. Regular communication with the employees for grievance resolution and escalating matters to the HR team

and concerned stakeholders whenever required

Key Performance Indicators:

1) P&L management Meet monthly personal disbursement target of >2 Cr m-o-m without any deviations and

ensure monthly sufficiency of team members meeting their personal targets. Daily, Monthly and Quarterly MIS

reports to be sent out on time to keep a close eye on targets

2) Stakeholder Management of an on-ground team of up to 25 people and team management of a team of upto 8

Account Managers and generate regular updates on performance and identify steps to ensure maximum

productivity

Who Can Apply?

The ideal candidate would be from the following backgrounds:

1) Managing a team of direct reports in Sales across a given product vertical.

2) Prior experience of leading on ground sales teams as Cluster Head or Area Sales Head level or above

3) Leading a team of direct reports to be able to maintain a steady stream of potential partners and meet targets

4) Background of managing a portfolio of retail sales in BFSI institutions, Fintechs and other relevant prominent

startups

5) Minimum 2 - 10 years of experience
