About the Role: Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Lead to oversee compliance for our operations in [Country Name]. This crucial role ensures that we adhere to local laws and regulations, particularly in tax, corporate, banking, insurance, and employment compensation (excluding labor regulations).
Key Responsibilities:
- Policy and Procedure Oversight: Evaluate and enhance our policies and procedures to mitigate compliance risks.
- Regulatory Liaison: Collaborate with legal counsel and government agencies to ensure statutory compliance.
- Tax and Financial Compliance: Oversee tax calculations, reconciliations, and reporting. Work with the Regional Finance Tax Team to ensure timely submissions and manage tax risks.
- Insurance Management: Maintain adequate insurance coverage to protect our assets and operations.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay informed about evolving regulations and implement necessary changes.
- Tax Optimization: Advise on tax strategies to minimize liabilities while adhering to laws.
- Audit Management: Lead and manage tax and financial audits.
- Transfer Pricing and Intercompany Agreements: Manage transfer pricing documentation and intercompany transactions.
- Payroll and Tax Advisory: Provide guidance on tax implications for employee assignments and relocations.
- Visitor and Work Assignment Management: Monitor incoming foreign visitors and work assignments to prevent compliance issues.
- Ad-hoc Compliance Tasks: Manage additional compliance-related activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Chartered Accountant: Proven experience as a Chartered Accountant.
- Extensive Experience: Minimum 15 years of finance experience with a strong focus on tax and regulatory compliance.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead teams and manage senior stakeholders.
- Analytical and Decision-Making: Strong analytical skills and sound judgment.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Cultural Awareness: Understanding of diverse cultural contexts.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of local and international regulations, tax laws, and financial compliance requirements.
