Apptarix is looking for a Chief Architect, Senior Engineer - Big Data, Web Services and Web Applications for one of its customer's product development team.

The customer is a high tech, startup company, funded by proven technology leaders based out of USA. It enables Fitness Facilities to truly become an integral part of Healthcare value chain. It provides an integrated hardware and software solution that enables members in a fitness facility (Fitness clubs and corporate fitness facilities) to effortlessly Track, Analyze and Improve their Health and Fitness.

Responsibilities:

Work with product leaders day to day, understanding and transforming requirements and product goals into an architecture/design for new components and/or modifications to existing components.

• Design and implement new and existing components at rapid pace.
• Evaluate frameworks and open source technologies for inclusion in the platform.
• Ability to understand OAuth frameworks and integrate the 3rd party content according to standards and guidelines.
• Ability to understand 3rd part REST services API and establish contant integrity and alignment with the product.
• Communicate and monitor architecture decisions effectively.
• Participate in interview process, hire and mentor new engineers, and provide technical guidance in achieving day to day goals.
• Ability to travel to US office, when needed to meet the founding team and esteemed customers.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Significant Java development experience
• Architect / Senior Engineer :3-10 years relevant experience
• Strong experience/competency using the following technologies and tools: JAVA, JAAS, JPA, EJB 3.0, Hibernate, Maven, JUnit, SVN, JIRA, Eclipse IDE.Strong experience and knowledge of RESTful Web Services.
• Knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, MySQL).
• Big Data/Webservices: Strong experience/competency using the following technologies and tools: JAVA, JPA, EJB 3.0, JSON, RESTEasy, Hibernate, Maven, JUnit, SVN, JIRA, Eclipse IDE. Knowledge of relational databases MySQL, NOSQL, Dynamo DB
• Strong experience/competency using the following technologies and tools: JAVA, JPA, EJB 3.0, RESTEasy, Hibernate, Maven, JUnit, SVN, JIRA, Eclipse IDE.Strong experience and knowledge of RESTful Web Services.
• WebApps: Strong experience/competency using the following technologies and tools: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JS frameworks like JQuery, AJAX, JSP, JAVA, Spring MVC, REST services API, JSON, Maven, JUnit, SVN, JIRA, Eclipse IDE.
• Experience building large scale, secure backend systems.
• Experience working with AWS is a plus.
• Experience working with web servers like Tomcat, JBoss, Apache is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills.
• BS or preferably MS Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Ability to travel 10-20%
