Data Analytics / Business Analyst Job in Angel Broking

Designation:Business Analyst (ABL_SS_394)

Position description:

• Identify, develop and execute data analysis to uncover areas of business opportunity
• Learn and understand a broad range of Angel Brokings data resources and know how, when and which data sources to use
• Deep dive into massive data sets to answer key business questions using MS Office, SQL, Python, Spark, Scala and other data manipulation languages
• Build new reports/dashboards to enable emerging business use cases
• Partner with Data Engineering team to ensure timely upgradation to new data technology
• Present written recommendations and insights to key stakeholders that will help shape effective selection expansion strategies worldwide
• Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish including project management, data gathering and manipulation, modeling and problem solving

Preferred Qualification:

• Have proficiency in following languages - Python, Presto, Hive, Pyspark, Spark, Scala
• Have proficiency in Tableau
• Good to know Skills - excellent communicator, SQL
• Knows statistics in R / Python

Required Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or similar quantitative discipline
• Post Graduate degree in Analytics or Statistics
• 1-3 years of experience in hands on analytics: building data pipelines using SQL, PySpark, Spark, Scala, reports in Excel / Tableau
• Strong Analytical skills has ability to start from ambiguous problem statements, identify and access relevant data, make appropriate assumptions, perform insightful analysis and draw conclusion relevant to the business problem
• Communication skills ability to communicate (written and spoken) in English
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical problems in simple plain stories
• Ability to present information professionally & concisely with supporting data
• Ability to work effectively & independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Ability to engage with cross-functional teams for implementation of project/program requirements
