Responsibilities

Designing, implementing, and maintaining Liferay applications that are often high-volume and low-latency

Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle

Ensure that the Liferay designs & architecture follow industry best practices.

Ensuring designs comply with specifications

• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the Liferay Platform technologies and architectures. Delivering high availability and performance.

Develop detailed design, define activities and scope of work for implementing use cases in Liferay Platform

Work with the cloud architecture team to ensure Liferay Platform is implemented correctly in the Cloud platform. Support continuous integration/deployment - CI/CD, High availability infrastructure, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Planning Service, etc.

Work with fellow application developers, users, and other functional teams in both new capability development of Liferay and operational issues.

Experience & Education

At least 3-7 years of experience architecting and implementing the Liferay DXP and developing portlets.

Experience in developing Liferay based portlets, web services, hooks, extensions, configuration/customization of Liferay Portal.

• Experience in teams with a blend of onshore/offshore development

Experience working in Java & J2EE Technologies (Servlets, JSP, Spring) and Web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery)

• Experience with modern full stack development frameworks such as Node.js, ReactJS, Bootstrap etc.

Experience in Integrating Liferay with 3rd party applications like Azure Datalake, Snowflake, Looker etc.

Extensive exposure on portal security configurations & SAML integrations.

• Ability to perform data analysis and data quality checks.

A proven ability to multi-task and a 'client-service' mentality with good problem-solving skills and the ability to influence

Bachelor's degree in an Engineering / Science / Commerce discipline. Advanced degree preferred.

Desired Technical Skills & Competencies

Knowledge in Application Architecture, Application Security covering business process flows, data flows, data models

Knowledge in the following technical subjects such as Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, GCP), Jenkins, NPM, Azure CLI etc. would be an added advantage

Experience with DevOps and Cloud development tools such as JIRA, GIT, Confluence, Eclipse.

Strong understanding and knowledge of Web services, SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), and EAI (Enterprise Application Integration)

Working knowledge of the following programming languages: Java, JSON, ReactJS, etc. Cloud configuration management/automation tools: Gradle, Octopus Deploy/ Azure Pipeline, YAML etc.

• Liferay DXP certification would be a plus.
