Job Summary


The Organization

ADI s Wireless products group working on Integrated Transceiver is charged with growing ADI's already dominant position as a supplier to manufacturers of communications infrastructure equipment. The team is focused on addressing customer needs and supporting product roll-out globally.

The applications engineer is responsible for providing technical support for the development and implementation of wireless customer applications using RF transceiver products. As part of a cross functional team, the Application Engineer provides support to customers requiring deep knowledge of embedded software systems and RF system fundamentals.

The successful candidate will be required to:

Understand customer communications as well as test and measurement systems and the embedded code that operate on those systems. Software may be GUI, DLL, API (middleware), or platform hardware layer. The target system may be Windows PC for GUI and DLL or it could be embedded systems running on FPGAs or other processors for the other layers.

Test and debug transceiver evaluation systems using test equipment and by writing code when appropriate. Debugging of customer systems will require in-depth knowledge of RF communications and test and measurement systems. These systems will contain integrated wideband transceivers and any portion of the system may be the cause of the customer problem.

Understand thoroughly silicon features, capabilities from HW and SW point of view. Post silicon debug, silicon/solution support to customer; ability to do grasp customer issues quickly and provide solution

Qualifications

  • At least 5- 10 years of hands-on experience in RF system design for communication.
  • Familiarity with C#, Matlab, or Python highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one board-to-board interface standard such as SPI highly desirable
  • Well versed with software architectures and layers such as application layer, DLL, API, HAL is required
  • Additionally experience on working on products with embedded ARM Cortex M,A series processors is desirable
  • Experience in development testing and certification of base station for GSM , 4G and 5G desired.
  • Experience in design and testing of RF sub systems like Power amplifier , PLL Synthesisers, Mixers , up/down converters , ADC , DAC s etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are essential.
  • Familiarity with RF test and measurement equipment s including Signal generators , Spectrum analyzers and network analyzers.
