DESCRIPTION

Within Amazons Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team (FP&A), we enjoy a unique vantage point into everything happening within Amazon. We are the team that is responsible for the enterprise-wide Financial planning & analytics software tools. As the central place the entire company looks to for an understanding of Financial performance we play a major role in driving business decisions.

We need your help to build a completely new Financial software system that will scale to meet the companys needs for the next ten years. There is no company on Earth building Financial software with the scale and Flexibility that Amazon requires. Our new Financial systems are being built with AWS big data technologies including EMR, Spark and S3. You will help us manage and prioritize business needs for maintaining our legacy Financial software while assisting with the new system by identifying opportunities for eliminating manual maintenance and code changes necessary in our old software.

As a Sr Product Manager, you will define and build financial systems products and services at an enterprise scale. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. To be successful you must be able to dig into seemingly complex business problems, challenge the status quo, and bias towards using data to simplify the user experience. At the heart of the role, you are a product manager which means you think strategically to create a product vision, can influence without direct authority, and enjoy the process of bringing solutions to life.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with feature delivery and trade-offs of a product
Bachelor's Degree
5+ years of experience in product or program management, business development or technology
Experience with end to end product delivery
Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
Proven product management within finance and operations environment.
Experience creating roadmaps, and translating solutions into detailed user stories and managing a story backlog
Strong understanding of Agile development processes and best practices
Strong user experience/design sense, with a record of building great products
Excellent executive communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Financial reporting, planning, or forecasting software systems.
Have a clear understanding of cloud computing services/deployment architecture.
Solid understanding of data management and database concepts
Experience in developing Financial reporting, planning or forecasting software.
Experience in generating automated metrics to measure software effectiveness and quality.
Proven ability to succeed in cross-functional teams through influence versus direct management; excellent interpersonal skills.
Proficient oral and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communications to various levels of management including precise and effective customer communications.
Understanding of computer science fundamentals and high level design.
