Amazon is seeking Payroll Controllership Manager to support Payroll controllership processes. Were looking for a strong leader that will take ownership and drive change in a dynamic global business environment. It is expected the individual will ensure Amazon's processes stay ahead of risks associated with growth in areas of process design, internal control effectiveness, computer system integration, and other relevant areas. This individual must be eager to dive deep into processes and have a proven record of delivering process efficiency results. The preferred candidate will have outstanding auditing skills, problem solving skills, payroll process and payroll system knowledge, and customer service passion.

Key Responsibilities:
Have sound understanding of Internal controls, audit executions, risk assessment
Plan and scope audit/advisory projects, execute project plans, prepare written findings, and facilitate business responses and action items.
Facilitate multiple stakeholders to agree on appropriate solutions and verify that risks are mitigated appropriately. We value creativity, insight, intellectual flexibility, and sound business judgment
Be able to understand complex business processes and deal well with a high degree of ambiguity
Execute special projects to drive payroll improvements and integrations across the multiple teams
Develop, modify and maintain the operational and design effectiveness of payroll process and controls
Coordinate with teams across IT, HR, Finance and Accounting to ensure that best practices are followed and implemented
Co-ordinate with different process owners to conduct deep dives, resolve complex problems, walk-through and quality reviews of evidence

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA (Finance) with 8+ years of relevant finance/accounting experience
- A minimum of 6 years of combined experience in internal or external audits, and SOX compliance practice

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Familiarity with database management systems, and tools used for data analytics, data mining, and fraud examination
- Work experience in public accounting or internal audit
- Solid organizational and project management skills
- Strong desire to exceed expectations
- Strong interpersonal skills, including persuasive written and oral communication skills - Ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
