DESCRIPTION

Amazon is looking for a customer-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced Sr Program Manager with a strong delivery record and leadership experience to own and execute strategic, cross-functional business and technology projects in the Category Excellence organization. The initiatives will influence growth and customer experience for our Home businesses (Appliances, Kitchen, Sports, Auto, Home, Furniture and Emerging businesses). The Category Excellence team owns driving strategic initiatives and key processes across all product groups to improve the customer and seller experience and category P&L.
The Program Manager is expected to be the custodian for business health. We are looking for a candidate who is able to identify opportunities in our operational & financial model, deconstruct them into root causes, identify sustainable solutions through analyzing data and anecdotes and drive implementation by collaborating with Category & Operations teams.


Role and Responsibilities:


Quickly understand the business issues and challenges in fulfillment experience; identify strengths/weaknesses and suggest areas for improvement

Map business requirements, understand business process, study and analyze workflows, design solutions and prepare functional specifications

Be data driven, develop and report performance metrics, executive updates, forecasting, budgeting and analysis to identify potential opportunities for improving Customer Experience.

Deep dive and acquire an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices and apply when solving business problems.

Design, develop, pilot & rollout enterprise wide programs around performance improvement, cycle time improvement for returns, delivery experience, financial auditing, identification of alternate delivery services etc.,

Additional responsibilities may include:

Developing standard operating procedures.

Direct accountability for setting and meeting operational goals, strategic planning and forecasting

Leading process improvements

Demonstrated Abilities:

Ideal candidates for this program are expected to leverage their strong analytical, communication, and execution skills while keeping the bigger picture in mind.

Looking for a self starter who is able to diagnose losses in the business and is able to lead analytics and resolution.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

MBA from premium institute with 7-8 years of experience in program management/ category management/ operations management/ initiative management

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prior consulting experience, or background in leading analytics heavy projects from start to finish
