This job opening is for a Solutions Architect role within the public sector team of AISPL. We work with the central government ministries, state and local governments, public sector units, education institutions, EdTech startups including India-based Unicorns, nonprofits and healthcare. Our vision is to help public institutions in India to make a significant impact to the lives of citizens, by taking a technology generation leap through use of AWS cloud services within the domains of Skilling, Smart Infrastructure, Healthcare and Inclusion (Physical, Digital and Financial).

Solution architects leverage their deep knowledge of AWS technologies in collaboration with our business development and partner teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of AWS cloud services in India.

At AISPL, you will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mindshare and broad use of AWS cloud within AISPLs government customers. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology BD or consulting. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a solutions architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.

You will do well in this role if you demonstrate excellent customer-facing communication skills representing technical solutions at senior leadership levels. You thrive on diving deep into complex technology environments and express these as industry standard architecture diagrams and well-articulated solution narratives. You will be right at home if you stay updated on latest technology trends and have a sense of urgency and hunger for learning more about customer business and relevant technology solutions across industries. Solutions architects love to travel, spending time with diverse customers, small and large, self-manage high intensity context switching between competing priorities, and demonstrate a sense of urgency to deliver results.

As the Solutions Architect for Smart Infra domain within AWS WWPS, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a strategy to build mind share and broad usage of AWS's utility computing web services to deliver various project under smart Infrastructure domain including smart cities, transport (road, railways and air), public safety & security, critical Infrastructure management, utilities, agriculture etc.


Primary responsibilities include:
In partnership with the BD team, formulate and execute a strategy to develop national data platforms and solutions through the adoption of AWS cloud in India.

As a key member of the BD team, ensure success in building, migrating and integrating applications, software and services on the AWS cloud / platform.

Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS cloud, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.

Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS cloud services.

Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community.

Author or otherwise contribute to AISPL customer-facing publications such as whitepapers.

Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.

Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and provide support, as required.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have minimum 15 years of past experience in solution architecture (designing/implementation/consulting).
Dynamic and creative, willing to take on challenge and make a big impact.
Enjoy working with customers in impact areas. Passion for educating, training customers and designing/building cloud solutions for a diverse and challenging use cases for public sector customers.
Have a strong understanding of integrating diverse set of applications & building domain platforms.
History of successful technical sales, architecture consulting engagements.
Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with senior executives, IT Management, and developers.
Strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Technical degree; Bachelors in Computer Science or Math background highly desired

Experience with the government entities, ISVs, system integrators and startups in smart infra domain, RFP sales and solutions lifecycle experience.
