Amazon Web Services (AWS) HR Organization in India is seeking a flexible, adaptive HR Leader who will demonstrate organizational and operational acumen, be driven by developing top talent, and innovative his or her thinking about how to support the organizations and leaders in scaling with growth.
In this role you will apply business knowledge to inform and drive the short and long term talent management plan and priorities for a variety of teams within AWS India Organisation. Each of these teams plays a critical role in driving the overall HR strategy and in equipping the organization to scale to support business growth. You will partner with senior leaders, HR colleagues around the world, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Diversity and Inclusion and Analytics team to develop and execute plans and planning activities to grow talent and support organizational and capability. You will demonstrate analytical capabilities and be able to influence with data-driven recommendations.
Responsibilities:
1.Contribute to the development, implementation and evolution of the organizational strategy in areas such as organizational design, performance management, and talent development.
2. Demonstrate exceptional communication skills to keep clients informed about critical HR initiatives and influence leaders to drive organizational adoption.
3. Use influence and coaching skills to cultivate a culture that reflects the values and principles of the organization.
4. Review and analyze business data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve employee engagement, performance, retention, and employee experience.
5. Consult on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment
6.Provide coaching to develop leaders.
7. Effectively engage, partner and consult with recruiting partners to meet the talent acquisition needs for the organization; interview and assess senior level candidates; support the continued development talent assessment skills within the organization - ensuring a commitment to finding, growing and retaining talent.
8. Consult with managers on employee performance and development activities.
9. Assess leadership and employee development training needs and conduct 1:1 and/or group training sessions as appropriate.
10. Partner with central corporate teams (COEs) to assess the human resources needs in areas such as employee relations, compensation and leadership development.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Masters Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
Candidate should have at least 10 years of experience in an HR leadership role with knowledge and experience in human resource management , employment laws and employee relations.
Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy and goals into optimal HR processes that are scalable, simple, customer-focused and adaptable to unique and changing business needs.
Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem solving skills, critical thinking, and analysis.
Resilient and able to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment with a high level of energy
Experience assessing management and executive talent
Exceptional listening skills and ability to relate to, influence, and coach employees of all levels in the organization
Willingness and ability to both be hands on with all levels of the organization as well as serve as a strategic partner to senior leaders
Excellent written and verbal communication; high quality document preparation and presentation skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced Degree preferred with depth in area of Learning and Development or Organization Development / Organization Design preferred
Experience working with global teams, and driving organizational change initiatives and developing talent management plans for a global organization
Able to travel domestically and internationally, as appropriate
Experience working with organizations through fast paced growth to scale and drive operational efficiency while maintaining an exceptional level of customer service
