Our job is to bring Amazon's e-commerce expertise to cloud software and fundamentally change how software is discovered and consumed in the cloud. We have a long list of new ideas just waiting to be designed and implemented. The AWS Marketplace and Service Catalog Business Development team in AISPL drives adoption by helping customers discover, procure, deploy and manage the AWS services and third-party software from ISVs selling in Marketplace.
AISPL is looking for a senior Business Leader to support business development of and scale the Marketplace and Service Catalog business in India. This is a unique opportunity to develop and execute a India GTM strategy for this transformational software procurement marketplace. The successful candidate will be a broad leader part market maker, part operator and part seller. You will be comfortable managing cross functional teams and understand what it takes to build a long term business. Candidates should have experience in market development of cloud infrastructure and/or enterprise applications, and be self-starters willing to operate in a multi-faceted way and roll up their sleeves whenever needed. The role will require working with the overall community of AWS Marketplace ISVs, APN Consulting Partners, AISPL Field resources, and a variety of AWS Service teams globally to help customers achieve their transformational goals through the combined power of the AWS service offering and Marketplace partners. This is an exciting opportunity to define and execute the India go-to-market strategy for AWS Marketplace and Service Catalog and lead the development, deployment and roll-out of a differentiated software marketplace in India.
Your responsibilities will include developing a marketing strategy that positions AWS Marketplace as a strategic growth pillar of the overall AISPL business in India. You will also develop mechanisms to establish new business in target market segments, and work with the India field organization to drive the day-to-day interactions of identifying prospects for long-term business opportunities. You will work very closely with the BD, Partner, and Professional Services teams to identify and prioritize areas of focus, help drive adoption and market penetration across India. Youll also be the voice of the customer and work closely with the product teams to help them further mature Marketplace offering and address issues, concerns, and requests from the field.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of experience in business development, market development, strategic partnerships, or program/product management relating to infrastructure and cloud technology.
India experience, proven people and team management experience.
Experience working with new product and service development teams, and outbound functions.
Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders and executive teams.
Track record of building rapport with senior customer executives (e.g. CEO, CIO, CTO), building close relationships, and closing opportunities with key, strategic accounts.
Experience and success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners.
Motivated self-starter, proactive and action-oriented.
Excellent problem solving and collaboration skills.
Strong verbal and written communications skills in English.
Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations is key.
Experience working within enterprise software development industry.
Solid understanding of Cloud computing technology and the utility pricing model.
Solid negotiation skills, and business and financial acumen.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA/Technical Masters or Graduate Degree
Prior experience growing software business
Experience with technology cloud computing, SaaS, PaaS, etc would be a plus
