Job Summary

DESCRIPTION

Amazon's Employee Services Technology (ES Tech) team is expanding its implementation of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to support Amazon's global workforce. You will get to develop and innovate with technologies such as Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics, Salesforce, Amazon Lex, and other AWS solutions. Your contribution will ensure employees can find knowledge they need globally, whether via self-service, phone, chat, e-mail or in-person support.

To help with that, we are interviewing for an AEM Developer role on our content management system (CMS) product team within ES Tech. The responsibilities of the AEM Developer will be about 70% design and development with Java (J2EE) and AEM related technologies like Sightly, Sling models, OSGI etc. and the remaining 30% of the role will be functional configuration/SME for AEM. Specifically, we are looking for people with specific AEM or similar CMS implementation experience who have solid Amazonian traits.

A successful candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and should be able to provide solutions for the diverse requirements our customers define. Due to our scale and business complexity, a solid CMS development background is essential. You should be able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of best developmental practices and be curious to learn new technologies. You should also be delivery-oriented and possess the ability to juggle support tasks as well as new build activities, working with technical/business stakeholders from global cross-functional teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

5 + years of experience in designing and development of Java / J2EE solution on JCR-based web content management products with HTML web application development experience, RESTful web services, AJAX, JSON, HTML, CSS.
Proficient in AEM foundational concepts, including the CRX repository, the AEM platform, the use of core frameworks such as Apache Sling, Apache Felix, Oak along with a solid understanding of all AEM building blocks including templates, components, dialogs, widgets, etc, and the AEM development and deployment process.
Experience with developing powerful features such as multi-site and multi-channel delivery, personalization/ targeting, content reuse, multilingual support, automated workflow management.
Proven ability to develop for complex use cases - architecture supporting content reuse as well as differentiation across multiple countries, languages, and authors.
Deep understanding and hands- on development experience with relevant Java CMS frameworks including Apache Sling for content- centric application development, Content Management, and Apache Felix for Open Service Gateway initiative (OSGi) bundle development.
Should be able to provide solutions in integrating third-party systems with AEM as part of overall architecture including but not limited to third-party integration tools and ETL with Salesforce.
Good understanding of the computer science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
Bachelors degree.
3 + years of experience working with AEM.
Experience working with technical and business stakeholders from global cross-functional teams.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Hands-on experience in AEM Sling models, Sightly and Touch UI development including Coral UI and Granite.
Demonstrated ability with administration within AEM, such as user permissions/creation alongside SSO/LDAP synchronization, dispatcher setup, code and configuration management, etc.
Web services development and or experience with Salesforce API, Metadata and other APIs (REST, SOAP)
