Job role: Video Test Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Role reporting into: Head of Onboarding

Job Responsibilities:

• Amagi is always looking for technical, passionate people to join our Onboarding Team. Be part of an elite team in a rapidly growing software product company.
• The Video Test Engineer acts as an interface between Onboarding and Operations team, ensures that the channels are handed over to operations without any issues
• Create Test Plans and Test Cases for testing of deliveries. The deliveries will include TSoIP , ABR/OTT deliveries, Server Side Ad Insertion(SSAI), EPG , custom workflows and product deployments.
• Executes test plans for each channel delivery
• Ensure monitoring systems and alerts are properly setup before handover of service to operations
• Ensure all operational handover documentation is created with proper explanation of customer workflows
• Run ETR 290 tests on video streams and measure performance according to test cases
• Setup and maintain various equipment in video test lab like SmartTVs , dongles and video casting devices
• Test video quality, EPG and SSAI on test OTT devices
• Write Scripts to automate certain testing tasks
• Perform debugging and point out issues
• Ensure all AWS resources are properly tagged to customer

Job Requirements:

• Testing Knowledge on the Video Domain covering the OTT platforms
• Extensive experience of using collaboration tools like JIRA and confluence
• Detailed technical knowledge of MPEG and Transport streams
• Experience in testing EPG, SSAI/DAI, VOD and AVOD, Video and Audio quality
• Knowledge of Linux and AWS
• Experience on using Automation Testing tools

Certifications: ISQTB

Domain Knowledge: Domain knowledge in Media technologies like OTT, Server Side Ad-Insertion, Video on Demand, Digital Broadcast is required

Preferred Work Experience: 3 - 5 years

Education/Qualifications: BE/BTech
