Quality Engineer :

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the Quality Assurance of Motors and its subassemblies.

Position is responsible for actively driving the quality assurance processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Overall responsibility, In-process & Final & customer quality of the parts manufactured.
  • Analysis of customer complaints, root cause analysis and corrective action reports
  • Interaction with international customers on quality issues
  • Preparation of Quality plans and other Quality documentations
  • Decide on the inspection and testing parameters, resources and methods
  • Quality improvement through 7QC, MSA and SPC tools
  • Continuous focus on problem solving and improving process controls
  • Plan and implement product & process audits
  • Training engineers and operators on Quality Systems
  • Benchmarking & learning industry best practices, identify the opportunities for improvements and implementing it in own area
  • Manage team of quality inspectors, train them and achieve their SQDCM performance
  • Get involved in BU s Daily Management and proactively reduce the risk to Quality & Delivery by working on resolving potential issues with along cross functional teams

    • FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to understand drawings and formulate inspection methodology.
  • Sound knowledge of FMEA techniques, 7 QC tools, SPC, MSA, 8D method
  • Problem solving through Six sigma methodology add on
  • Implementing error-proofing techniques- Poka yoke
  • ISO:9001 Awareness
  • Basic knowledge of Motors/electromechanical products add on

    • Job Requirements

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    1) B.E. in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Production with 5+ years of experience in Quality.

    2) Experience in manufacturing, machining, preferably from industry making electro mechanical components will be an added advantage

    KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

    Internal: Heads of Operations, Manufacturing, R&D, Supply chain, Planning, NPD, Sales and marketing, customer support etc.

    External: Customers, external labs & suppliers

    PERSONAL TRAIT / PROFILE:

    • Strong analytical ability with data reasoning and detail orientation
    • Results orientation must deliver results & have sense of urgency to deliver on time
    • Collaboration ability to drive cross-functional teams for achievement of objectives
    • Functional excellence Passion for Quality, must possess the necessary functional and working know-how
    • Passionate about change - lives by continuous improvement philosophy

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Fluency in Verbal communication in Marathi (optional), Hindi & English and Written English communication
    Experience Required :

    Minimum 5 Years
