Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team. As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including the creation of custom WordPress themes, updating plugins, and ensuring the optimization of our WordPress-based websites for performance, usability, and security. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of WordPress development, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and experience working in a start-up culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance WordPress websites using best practices and standard plugins.
• Work with PHP at the code level to customize WordPress and create custom post types, themes, and plugins.
• Create and integrate custom themes and templates.
• Ensure clean, logical, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Support the creation and maintenance of multilingual websites.
• Work with the design and project resources to bring web projects from conception to delivery.
• Ensure all work adheres to current industry best practices for both front-end and back-end development.
• Optimize website performance, availability, and manage all technical aspects of the CMS.
• Build websites, prototypes, and applications using the latest front-end and back-end technologies.
• Debug issues and provide timely resolutions for reported problems with existing websites.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure responsive and adaptive design for cross-platform and cross-browser compatibility.
• Create wireframe mock-ups to illustrate possible design solutions.
• Use version control tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial.
• Integrate with RESTful APIs (JSON, XML).
• Work with AWS LAMP Stack configurations and maintain server-side integrations.
• Provide client-facing support and training as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in WordPress development.
• Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Extensive experience with WordPress, including existing inbuilt functions and customizations.
• Experience with WordPress Network (Multisite) and creating multilingual websites.
• Strong understanding of responsive web design principles and cross-browser issues.
• Familiar with debugging tools such as Firebug and Chrome inspector.
• Experience working with AWS and LAMP Stack configurations.
• Experience with Shopify is a plus.
• Good understanding of CSS changes and their impact on cross-platform consistency.
• Ability to interact with RESTful APIs (JSON, XML).
• Strong back-end development knowledge, especially in PHP.
• Proficient in using version control tools such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial.
• Familiar with frameworks and libraries relevant to WordPress Multisite.
• Ability to convert wireframes and layouts into working HTML pages.
• Experience with AJAX, Prototype, and script.aculo.us is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems.
