We are currently looking for smart and self-motivated Senior level Liferay / Java software developers with the ability to take on and overcome challenges in a dynamic and collaborative team environment. Job Description

• Research, design, and implement solutions for challenging problemsby troubleshooting and enhancements.
• Conducts code reviews and demonstrations.
• Provides input into best practices techniques and tool selection.
• Maintain high levels of knowledge, skill, and competencies in software/web development for an extensive range of project types.
• Excellent relationship-building, customer service, and problem resolution skills.
• Translate design requirements and specifications into successful implementations.
• Ensure that projects meet high standards for quality and adhere to best practices.
• Strong communication skills, including written, spoken and presentation communications with the ability to translate complex technical terminology, concepts, and issues in terms understandable to technical and non-technical management and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to manage/coordinate multiple projects and successfully prioritize multiple tasks with good judgment and in an effective and productive manner.
• Able to serve as department representative/advocateondiverse cross-functional teams.
• Able to coach/mentor less experienced developers.

Technical Skills

• 8 years of demonstrated experience in web client design and development with JavaScript leveraging technologies such as jQuery, DHTMLX,Hyper TextMarkup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Liferay, Ozone Widget Framework.
• 5 years of demonstrated experience with Java development in developing Java Server Pages (JSP), Java Portlet Specification, and Hibernate.
• 5 years of demonstrated experience withweb basedclients leveraging XMPP and IRC protocols.
• 3 years of demonstrated experience with Tactical Service Oriented Architecture (TSOA) applications.
• 5 years of demonstrated experience leveraging browser/server communication technologies with Asynchronous JavaScript and XML (Ajax), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Representational State Transfer (REST), Direct Web Remoting (DWR), JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), and Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) standard formats (e.g. Web Feature Service (WFS), Web Map Service (WMS)).
• 5 years of demonstrated experience with system integration and web hosting platforms with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6, Apache Tomcat, Open Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (OpenLDAP), Open Access Management (OpenAM), Alfresco, and SSL client certificate authentication.
• 5 years of demonstrated experience in database design and implementation databases such asPostgreSQL and PostGIS.
• Security Requirement up to and including SECRET.
