Job Summary The Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) Engineer is responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. This role involves developing and implementing quality systems, conducting inspections and testing, managing documentation, and providing technical expertise to support project execution. Key Responsibilities: Quality Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality systems, including FQP, qualitative work measures, technology implementation, measurements, analysis, QA controls, and ensuring project technical and quality compliance. Documentation Management: Manage QA/QC documentation for the entire project, including certificates, calibration data, test results, inspection requests, non-compliance reports, and site instructions/observations. Material Properties: Demonstrate detailed knowledge of construction materials and control of concrete mix design and job mix formula. Field Inspections: Conduct qualitative inspections of specific construction fields, such as building work, road work, culvert/pipeline, piling work, silos, dynamic equipment foundations, and structural steel work. Project Planning: Establish the Project Quality Plan, ITP, FQP, Quality procedures, work instructions/method statements, including risk assessment and checklists based on project specifications. Quality Validation: Validate field marking, construction activities, and processes against QA requirements and resolve any QA or QC issues. Reporting: Provide regular updates on site quality matters to the Quality Head and Cluster Quality Head. Project Closure: Initiate and facilitate project closure and handover to operations. Data Analysis: Analyze field data to identify areas for improvement in construction and management practices. SAP and MIS: Execute SAP QM/MM module functions and prepare TPI MIS evaluations for circulation to stakeholders. Audits and Compliance: Handle internal and external audits, ensure compliance, and close out observations/issues. Technical Skills: Detailed knowledge of construction materials Experience in conducting inspections and testing for quality-related procedures Proficiency in quality assurance and quality control tools, inspection methods, material testing, and communication tools and techniques Experience with construction quality processes for Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical works in Mining Infrastructure projects Expertise in drawing interpretation and techno-quality compliances Proficiency in construction-related software and tools Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field 8-12 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in underground coal mining Job Type: Full-time
